A training session lives or dies on attention. Put people in their own office and they’ll check email between slides. Move them somewhere designed for focus and the session lands. Here’s how to host training sessions and workshops in ViOS event spaces, and how to pick the right one.
Why take training out of the office?
Your own office is full of distractions. Colleagues drop by. Desks are a few steps away. Meeting rooms are rarely big enough for a full group. Training Industry points out that where you train can matter as much as what you teach. A space built for groups, with the right layout and fewer interruptions, helps people focus on the material.
Moving training off-site also sends a signal. It tells your team the session matters enough to give it a proper room.
Match the space to the group
ViOS offers indoor event spaces in Athens and Marousi for most training formats.
ViOS Downtown Hall holds up to 70 people in central Athens. It’s designed for workshops, seminars, training sessions and educational events. The hall has a biophilic design, indoor air cleaning and parking next door, and it’s a short walk from Panepistimiou and Omonia metro stations.
Lounge Autograph in Marousi holds up to 50 people. Natural light and indoor plants make it a comfortable room for a long day, and it suits lectures, presentations and product training.
For smaller groups of up to 12, the board rooms at Downtown and Autograph work well. The 12-person room at Autograph has dual screens and a Logitech Rally system, which helps when some trainees join remotely. See every room on our meeting rooms page.
Plan for hybrid attendees
Many training days now include people who can’t travel. Decide early how they’ll take part. Will they only watch, or will they join group exercises? If they need to take part fully, choose a room with a large screen and a proper videoconference system, and assign one person in the room to manage the call.
Test the connection before the session starts. A five-minute check saves the first half hour of the day. Share slides and workbooks in advance too, so remote trainees can follow along without relying on the shared screen.
Use the breaks as part of the day
Long sessions need real breaks, not five minutes in a corridor. Both main ViOS locations have outdoor space for that. The Green Terrace at Downtown looks out at Mount Lycabettus and holds up to 55 people. The Green Rooftop at Autograph, with views of the Olympic Stadium, holds up to 40. The Urban Garden at Fidiou offers a quieter green spot for smaller groups of up to 20.
A lunch outdoors resets energy for the afternoon. It also gives people time to talk through what they’ve learned, which is often where the learning sticks.
Book a tour before the big day
For any session over 20 people, visit first. Walk the room, check sightlines to the screen, and plan where group work will happen. Our team can talk you through layout, equipment and catering options.
